McCain said on X that her biggest takeaway from JD Vance’s June 16 appearance was that The View’s hosts remain “undisciplined,” accusing them of getting facts wrong, flubbing easy questions and yelling at each other.
Vance had appeared to promote his new book, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith,” in a wide-ranging segment that touched on the economy, ICE detention centers, immigration, inflation and the Epstein files.
Whoopi Goldberg’s on-air clash with Ana Navarro underscored the tension, with the moderator clapping and insisting the show go to commercial as Navarro kept pressing a question.
McCain, who co-hosted the show from 2017 to 2021, has repeatedly criticized its culture, calling the environment “toxic” in her 2022 memoir and saying in April that her replacement Alyssa Farah Griffin was “a joke.”
