Introduced in 2024, the feature uses an iPhone, iPad, or Mac’s accelerometer and gyroscope to move peripheral dots in sync with turns, braking and acceleration.
The cues target a sensory mismatch—eyes fixed on a static screen while the inner ear feels motion—and can be set to appear automatically when vehicle movement is detected.
Available in iOS, iPadOS and macOS accessibility settings, the feature can also be customized for dot size, color and density, though stationary dots may distract on long straight roads.
