Carville tied that forecast to expected Democratic investigations after a midterm loss, saying subpoena power would expose damaging conduct now being hidden from Trump and the public.
He also argued Trump is already disengaged and politically fragile, citing what he described as boredom with the Iran war and an inability to handle prolonged pressure.
Al Hunt, Carville's co-host, agreed Trump fears the midterms because of potential investigations, though he stopped short of predicting resignation.
The White House rejected the claim, with spokesman Davis Ingle dismissing Carville as a habitual anti-Trump critic.
