Ubuntu Touch 24.04-2.0 Beta upgrades the Morph browser base from Chromium 87 to Chromium 134 and adds proper handling for display notches and rounded corners.
Per-device configurations let the system avoid cutouts and curved screen areas on modern phones, addressing a key compatibility issue for newer hardware.
The beta also adds a screenshot editor for the Lomiri shell, improves mobile data reliability, and makes user data encryption non-experimental on devices supporting FSCRYPT v2.
Newly supported hardware includes the Nothing Phone (1) and Zinwa Q25, alongside devices such as Fairphone 4 and 5, Rabbit R1, and several Volla Phone models.
