Ulefone’s RugOne brand launched the Xever 8, a rugged smartphone that lets users swap batteries without shutting down the device or interrupting calls, video playback or typing.
Swappable Battery 2.0 improves on the Xever 7, where battery changes briefly blacked out the screen and paused the system, raising the pitch for field workers and travelers needing continuous uptime.
The phone pairs that feature with MIL-STD-810H, IP68 and IP69K protection, a 117 dB speaker, a MediaTek Helio G200 chip, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
A 6.5-inch 120 Hz display, 64-megapixel main camera, 20-megapixel night-vision camera and two 4,800 mAh batteries round out the package, which runs Android 16 with three years of major updates.
Pricing starts at $380 for the 128 GB model and rises to $410 for 256 GB, with sales already open on RugOne’s site and platforms including AliExpress, Amazon and Mercado Libre.
