Summary
June 14 brings Grantchester’s 11th and final season to PBS, with the premiere picking up directly from Alphy Kottaram’s Season 10 doorstep encounter with the mother who gave him up for adoption.
Season 11 centers on family, identity, forgiveness and faith, with showrunner Daisy Coulam saying Alphy’s reunion will be realistic and difficult rather than the resolution he expects.
Geordie enters 1963 in a calmer place after reconciling with son David in the finale, but a new offer from the Chief Superintendent could end his crime-solving partnership with Alphy.
