Bezalel Smotrich renewed his call for Israel to demolish 10 buildings in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district for every rocket or drone launched from Lebanon, saying the response should begin “immediately tonight.”
Rocket fire from Lebanon triggered sirens across several northern Israeli communities on Saturday, with the Israeli military saying the projectiles targeted Israeli forces in occupied areas of southern Lebanon and caused no injuries.
Israeli media also reported a drone from Lebanon entered Israeli airspace, setting off warnings in two northern communities and sharpening concern over cross-border escalation.
Smotrich tied his demand to ongoing U.S.-Iran talks, arguing Hezbollah must not use the diplomatic moment to step up attacks on Israel’s north as regional tensions remain elevated.
