Summary
More than 30 children have already applied for Makers Market’s first fully kid-run vendor event, set for next Saturday at Cheyenne’s Frontier Mall, with applications open through Thursday.
The fair targets entrepreneurs 15 and younger—with some 16- to 18-year-old exceptions—and waives booth fees so kids can market their own products directly to shoppers while attending with guardians.
Vendors will sell items ranging from baked goods and jewelry to 3D prints, dirty sodas and nail polish, while shoppers get a free raffle ticket for every $5 spent and younger children can use an in-mall craft station.
Examples include 8-year-old Scarlet Verdi’s toxin-free nail polish business, Hannah Bertogli’s stress balls and silicone squishies, and 13-year-old Aiden Mathisen’s mini pancakes and dirty sodas.
Makers Market said the event is meant to tap strong local interest from young entrepreneurs and encourage children to build confidence, customer skills and early business experience.
