June 17 is the next Social Security payday for beneficiaries born on the 11th through 20th of any month under the SSA’s June 2026 schedule.
71.1 million people receive Social Security, with most paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday based on birth date; those born on the 21st-31st are due June 24.
June 3 payments already went to beneficiaries who enrolled before May 1997, regardless of birthday, and to people who also receive SSI after their June 1 SSI deposit.
Average monthly benefits cited by the SSA are $2,026.41 for retirees, $1,493.20 for disabled workers and $1,625.56 for survivor beneficiaries.
