Probably yes in an emotional sense, but there is still no confirmed proof of a physical affair before Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke split. The strongest evidence is West Wilson’s own admission in the “Summer House: The Aftermath” teaser that he has loved Amanda “for a very, very long time.” That, combined with Kyle Cooke’s suspicion of an “emotional affair” and the cast’s doubts about Amanda and West’s timeline, suggests the relationship was developing before the marriage officially ended. The timeline raises questions. Amanda and Kyle announced their separation on January 19, after Amanda had reportedly decided on New Year’s Day that the marriage was over. Ciara Miller said she saw Amanda at West’s apartment on January 17, two days before the public split. Kyle later said he discovered Amanda at West’s apartment again shortly before the relationship went public on March 31. Those details make it difficult to accept a clean break between friendship and romance. Still, Amanda and West have both denied overlap. People published Kyle Cooke’s first post-reunion interview, in which he said seeing estranged wife Amanda Batula with friend West Wilson still "doesn’t feel real" and called Wilson’s actions unfathomable.
Cooke said he pieced the relationship together days before the split became public by tracking Batula to Wilson’s apartment, then heard from her 9 hours after Ciara Miller alerted him by phone.
