Summary
June 25 to July 10, Freedom 250 will stage a 16-day fair on the National Mall, with organizers saying it will turn the site into a showcase of America’s past, present and future.
More than 100 states and institutions are slated to have booths, alongside companies including C-SPAN, Meta and John Deere, broadening the event beyond explicitly political groups.
Conservative and religious organizations are also featured, including Hillsdale College, Focus on the Family and Pray.com, while artist Scott LoBaido is scheduled to create live art.
Democratic criticism has shadowed the anniversary effort since February, when Rep. Jared Huffman accused the administration of politicizing the 250th celebration and Sen. Adam Schiff opened a probe into Freedom 250’s fundraising.
