July will mark the start of V.tal’s phased 4G and 5G rollout in Sao Paulo Metro’s Yellow Line 4 tunnels and stations under a partnership with mobility infrastructure company Motiva.
Five stations are scheduled to receive the new infrastructure by the end of 2026: Vila Sonia-Prof. Elisabeth Tenreiro, Sao Paulo-Morumbi, Butanta, Pinheiros and Faria Lima-Pagbank.
The upgrade is designed to cut signal dead zones by replacing existing patchwork coverage with integrated mobile connectivity across the line.
The project extends mobile service deeper into one of Brazil’s busiest urban transit systems, pointing to broader digital upgrades in transport infrastructure.
