Uber has approached potential buyers for Delivery Hero’s regional businesses as it works to secure regulatory clearance for a full takeover of the German food-delivery company.
The outreach targets assets in overlapping markets, where antitrust concerns would likely be strongest if Uber absorbed Delivery Hero outright.
People familiar with the matter said the businesses under review span Latin America, Asia and Europe, pointing to a broad divestment plan rather than a single-country remedy.
Any sale of those units would be aimed at making the acquisition acceptable to regulators while preserving the larger deal.
