$1.3 billion in new military assistance and $8 billion in long-term military purchase loans for Ukraine cleared the House on June 4, with unanimous Democratic support and 18 Republicans joining.
The vote comes as Kyiv presses for sustained U.S. backing after Vladimir Putin rejected Volodymyr Zelenskyy's peace-talk offer and as Ukraine seeks to expand its defense capacity.
Ukraine has also asked Washington for licenses to manufacture PAC-3 interceptors for Patriot systems, saying it needs about 70 a month while U.S. output is roughly 60.
The House action adds to a broader push to keep arming Ukraine while shifting more of the burden to Europe through U.S. weapons transfers and possible co-production deals ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara.
