Summary
A June 11 letter to ward and stake leaders released an implementation guide for the Church’s new Sunday meeting schedule, which takes effect worldwide on Sept. 6.
The plan sets 1 hour for sacrament meeting, 25 minutes for Sunday School and 25 minutes for Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings, with 5-minute transitions.
Aug. 30 will serve as a preparation Sunday: youth, parents and leaders will watch a “For the Strength of Youth Curriculum” video and discuss the coming changes.
Sept. 6 classes will use new videos on Sunday School, the Sabbath and sacrament meeting, and Relief Society and elders quorums; youth begin the new curriculum that day while Primary keeps its normal schedule.
Sunday.ChurchofJesusChrist.org hosts the guide now, and additional resources including instructional videos are due in the first week of August.
