Summary
More than 1,000 homes and businesses in Scotts and parts of Alamo, Climax, Comstock and Pavilion can now access Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV and Voice services under the latest fiber buildout.
The expansion targets previously unserved or underserved areas and was funded partly through Michigan’s ROBIN broadband grant program, backed by a U.S. Treasury federal award to the state.
Spectrum said the new network offers residential and business internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, with 500 Mbps starting tiers and no modem fees, data caps or contracts.
The Kalamazoo County project fits into Spectrum’s broader rural initiative, supported by more than $7 billion in private investment to add over 100,000 miles of fiber and reach 1.7 million new locations nationwide.
