Summary
Accor and Inspired By KM launched “ibis unlocked” in Brazil, France, Morocco and Thailand in 2026 to help NEET youth rebuild confidence, gain skills and move toward jobs.
15 WhatsApp self-training modules anchor the program, which also uses partner NGOs for recruitment and personalized support and offers hotel immersions, visits and internships at ibis properties.
Accor said the rollout targets a widening employment gap: 1.2 billion young people are set to reach working age in coming years in some territories, against about 400 million expected jobs, while nearly 1 in 5 youth are NEET.
More than 2,500 ibis hotels in 82 countries give the initiative room to scale, with an educational week planned in Brazil in autumn 2026 and a broader expansion phase starting later that season.
The program is the first step in Accor’s Hosting Change roadmap goal to support and certify 20,000 people furthest from employment by 2030, alongside IBKM’s wider youth-inclusion work.
