Five cheaper Android phones made BGR's list of alternatives to Samsung's $1,300 Galaxy S26 Ultra, led by the $949 Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, $900 OnePlus 15, $500 Motorola Moto G Stylus and $499 Nothing Phone 4a Pro.
Price drove the comparison: BGR used the S26 Ultra's $1,300 base model as the ceiling while looking for large-screen phones that still offer standout flagship traits such as strong cameras, long battery life, AI features or a stylus.
Google's Pixel 10 Pro XL was framed as the closest big-screen rival with a 6.8-inch display and seven years of updates, while the OnePlus 15 was highlighted for two-day battery life and 100W charging.
Motorola's Moto G Stylus stood out as the budget stylus option at $500, and the Nothing Phone 4a Pro was cited for strong performance and a 6.83-inch AMOLED display despite lighter AI integration.
BGR also pointed to Samsung's own Galaxy S25 Ultra as a practical substitute because discounts have pushed it to roughly $1,000-$1,200, or as low as $979 for certified renewed units.
