Adam Shankman Premieres 19-Day Comedy Shoot With RuPaul and All-Star Cast

19 days was all Adam Shankman needed to shoot "Stop! That! Train!," which premieres Friday with RuPaul, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicole Richie, Jessie Tyler Ferguson, Joel McHale and Paul Scheer.
Half-day or shorter shoots helped him land the cast: Shankman said McHale and Scheer agreed the day before filming and were on set for about 30 minutes each.
RuPaul plays President Judy Gagwell in the disaster spoof, where first-class passengers and stewardesses try to stop a brake-failed train from crashing into Los Angeles after a freak weather event.
The film, shot largely on a single redressed train interior, was made at TV-like speed as Shankman said the compressed schedule left little time to rethink scenes.
The premiere follows Shankman's push to frame the RuPaul-led, drag-queen-heavy comedy as both a broad spoof and a lighthearted counterpoint to political attacks on drag performers.
