Google marked the Gemini outage "partially resolved" after engineers applied mitigations, with some users reporting the chatbot is working again while others still face failures.
Downdetector reports fell to about 200 after peaking near 2,000 earlier in the day, suggesting recovery is underway but not yet complete.
Google said it has no ETA for full restoration and is still investigating the root cause behind errors including 1076 and 1099.
The disruption began around 6:10 a.m. ET and lasted more than nine hours, hitting users in the U.S. and U.K. across web and app access.
