Summary
June 15 is the deadline for public comments on the potential effects of President Donald Trump’s proposed 250-foot Triumphal Arch, the National Park Service said.
The arch would be built at Memorial Circle between Arlington National Cemetery’s entrance and Memorial Bridge, prompting review of traffic disruption, pedestrian access, plaza work, landscape changes, utilities and construction staging.
NPS is soliciting feedback under the National Historic Preservation Act because the project would become part of the Memorial Avenue corridor, the Lincoln Memorial area and the National Mall setting.
Comments can be submitted online or by email for the agency’s Assessment of Effects Report, which will evaluate how the monument could alter the historic site.
