British Muslim Police Group Faces Backlash Over Paper Calling IDF Terrorist, Questioning Oct. 7 Atrocities

Summary
NAMP came under intense scrutiny after a policy paper it promoted was found to label the IDF a “Zionist terrorist group” and cast doubt on reports of Hamas atrocities during the Oct. 7, 2023 attack.
The paper, written by then-Vice President Khaldoun Kabbani and unearthed by The Spectator, described Zionism as colonialist and cited unsourced claims challenging reports of beheadings and child deaths.
Critics said those claims contradict documented evidence: Israel’s forensic chief reported many burned bodies were found without heads, and U.N. humanitarian data said at least 29 Oct. 7 victims identified by age were children.
Campaign Against Antisemitism said the document showed a major policing association may be “infiltrated by or controlled by Islamists” and called for those responsible to be investigated and dismissed.
The row adds to pressure on British police and Keir Starmer’s government over alleged two-tier policing and rising antisemitism, with NAMP, the government and police chiefs not responding to questions.
