Summary
Mark Orabiyi, 35, was pronounced dead after being found fatally injured in a garden on Rayleigh Road following a double stabbing in Silvertown on Friday morning.
Police were called to nearby Pankhurst Avenue at about 09:00 BST after reports of a stabbing and found a second man wounded; he remains in hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder, but a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action, while a 27-year-old man was bailed pending further inquiries.
Orabiyi's family called him a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend with a "beautiful spirit and remarkable talent," as detectives said the investigation is continuing and appealed for CCTV or other footage.
