Summary
Safaryar Holidays increased its contracted hotel room allotments across Istanbul ahead of summer, aiming to give travel-agency partners guaranteed inventory as peak-season availability tightens.
Istanbul drove that move by attracting 1.47 million foreign visitors in April and capturing a record 41.72% of all international arrivals to Türkiye, even as national arrivals fell 9.44% year on year.
Across January to April, the city logged 5.33 million foreign visitors, reinforcing demand for pre-contracted rooms in high-traffic districts such as Sultanahmet, Taksim and the Bosphorus corridor.
The B2B wholesaler said it is widening access through its reservation portal and onboarding new international agency partners through the summer as operators seek secure inventory in Türkiye's busiest air gateway.
Türkiye is targeting $68 billion in tourism revenue for 2026 after roughly 64 million visitors and about $65 billion in revenue in 2025, with Istanbul accounting for close to a third of national hotel revenue.
