Summary
Three teams booked Omaha spots Saturday: Ole Miss beat No. 4 Auburn 5-3, Troy topped Little Rock 7-2, and No. 16 West Virginia routed Cal Poly 17-1 to complete 2-0 Super Regional sweeps.
West Virginia's berth was the most historic—its first College World Series appearance—with Ben Lumsden driving in five runs, while Ole Miss used a three-run eighth and Troy rode Tommy Egan's 7.2 innings with eight strikeouts.
Two other series tightened or opened with decisive results: North Carolina blanked USC 4-0 behind Jason DeCaro's two-hit complete game to force Game 3, and Georgia outslugged Mississippi State 13-12 after erasing a 7-0 deficit.
Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama also grabbed 1-0 series leads, winning by a combined 27-4 as the remaining Super Regionals move into Sunday games that will fill more College World Series spots.
