2027 is now the target release window for Clockwork Revolution, with inXile confirming the steampunk action RPG will launch as an Xbox console exclusive after a new gameplay showing at Xbox’s summer showcase.
Avalon, the game’s industrial city, frames a story centered on customizable protagonist Morgan Vanette, companion Prentice and the Chronometer, a device that lets players alter time during combat, exploration and story decisions.
Displace, one showcased power, can move objects to open paths or weaponize the environment, while the trailer also highlighted FPS-style fights, a heist involving the Rotten Row Hooligans and pursuit by antagonist Lady Ironwood’s forces.
Chad Moore said changing the past will reshape allies and relationships in ways large and small, though inXile has yet to show how deeply those branching consequences differ across playthroughs.
Later this year, the studio plans to share more details as it builds toward the 2027 launch.
