Anthropic Shares Mythos AI With 150 Organizations in 15 Countries as U.S.-China Race Intensifies

Anthropic said it has opened its Mythos AI model to about 150 organizations across 15 countries, expanding access beyond a small circle of users.
The company said each group must meet security requirements before getting the model, though it did not disclose those standards or a precise rollout schedule.
Anthropic also pledged to make “Mythos-class models” available to all customers in the coming weeks, a move that cyber firms say could sharply increase both defensive capabilities and attacker risks.
The expansion lands as Washington weighs how to back U.S.-made frontier AI while adding guardrails, and after Anthropic argued last month that the U.S. and its allies must stay ahead of China.
