Just before 9 a.m., the woman at the center of a reported hostage situation got out of the Northeast Portland apartment and reached officers safely, with no injuries reported.
Police said the standoff began after a 5:30 a.m. report of a disturbance with a weapon in the 1200 block of Northeast 122nd Avenue, where an armed suspect was allegedly preventing her from leaving.
SERT tactical officers and the Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the Hazelwood scene as authorities worked to contain the situation.
