Summary
Samsung has lowered its 2026 combined sales target for the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 to 5-6 million units, down from an earlier 7 million plan.
Supply-chain pressure drove the revision, pushing the company back to a more conservative stance after targeting about 6 million sales for the 2025 foldable lineup.
The new mix now calls for 2-2.5 million Z Fold8 Ultra units, roughly 1.5-2 million Z Fold8 units and about 1.5-2 million Z Flip8 units.
That shift sharply boosts the wider-screen Fold8 model from an earlier 500,000-unit plan, with display and component shipments already rising and potentially reaching 2 million by year-end.
Samsung is expected to unveil the new foldables on July 22 in London, positioning the lineup against Huawei's foldables and a potential Apple iPhone Ultra.
