Aura Migrates Frames to Google Ambient API, Preserving Google Photos Auto-Sync

Summary
Aura has begun a full migration to Google’s Ambient API, keeping its digital frames automatically synced with Google Photos albums after earlier API changes put that feature at risk.
The switch means new photos can keep flowing to Aura slideshows automatically, rather than forcing users to manually add updates through the Google Photos app.
Existing auto-sync users must reconnect their Google Photos albums in the Aura app to continue syncing, while photo adding now starts in Google Photos instead of Aura’s app.
Manual 1:1 photo selection is also shifting to iOS’s Google Photos share sheet or a new Android in-app selector, reflecting Google’s tighter rules on third-party access to Photos libraries.
Aura had warned in March that Google’s policy changes could disable the feature, but said it was working with Google to preserve it and has now completed that transition.
