Rahm Emanuel said Democrats look “worse than feckless,” dismissing the DNC’s 2024 election postmortem as a “waste of money and a waste of time.”
On Katie Couric’s podcast, he argued the report skipped core reasons for the loss, including Joe Biden’s age, and said Biden should have served only 1 term.
Emanuel said White House staff, the Cabinet and Jill Biden all had a responsibility to confront Biden about running again, adding that Jill Biden “100%” should have stepped in.
He tied the party’s broader damage to issues he said alienated voters, including border policy, “defund the police” rhetoric and culture-war fights.
The remarks add to fresh scrutiny of the Bidens as Jill Biden promotes her memoir and Democrats continue debating what drove their 2024 defeat.
