Ice Universe said the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be 8.75mm thick, matching the iPhone 17 Pro Max instead of getting thicker again.
That contradicts a November claim from leaker Instant Digital, who said the next Pro Max would be thicker and weigh more than 240g, potentially making it Apple's heaviest iPhone.
Apple's iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max had already become thicker and heavier than the prior generation, making the new 8.75mm figure a break from that expected trend.
Battery remains the key open question: earlier reports suggested the 18 Pro Max could gain a more meaningful capacity increase, while the smaller Pro may see only a modest bump.
