Evansville families are getting internet safety guidance this month from Holly's House and local officials as June marks internet safety month.
1 in 4 children will be solicited online, Holly's House Executive Director Kristine Cordts said, urging parents to talk early with kids about who they interact with online and how to seek help.
Tens of thousands of children become victims of online abuse each year, local child safety advocates said, warning that any child can be targeted as technology use starts at younger ages.
Holly's House has also launched a website focused on online safety, extending the campaign beyond in-person awareness efforts.
