Summary
Bluetooth SIG certification lists Samsung’s next flagship foldable as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, confirming the rumored name change for the Z Fold 7 successor.
Five variants appear in the filing—SC-56G, SCG39, SM-F976C, SM-F976Q and SM-F976Z—and the SM-F976 model number aligns with Samsung’s prior Fold numbering progression.
The certification does not reveal hardware, but recent leaks point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 45W wired charging for both the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Those leaks also suggest the Ultra could carry a 200MP main camera in a triple-camera setup, while a wider, lighter 201g foldable may take the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 name.
Samsung is expected to unveil the lineup next month at a July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event rumored to be held in London.
