Summary
Jagex said RuneScape: Dragonwilds will hit PlayStation 5 later in 2026 and join PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on day one.
The move extends RuneScape to consoles for the first time, as Jagex pushes the 25-year-old franchise beyond its PC MMORPG roots.
Dragonwilds launched in Steam Early Access in April 2025, sold more than 1 million copies and drew a fairly positive reception.
The survival-crafting spinoff is set for major 2026 updates including Umbral Sands in late June, Agility in July, Scorned Wilderness in September and Prayer in winter.
Jagex has said it is investing in more platforms around the September release, but it has not yet clarified whether PS5 will support cross-play with PC.
