Summary
Eight episodes of The Four Seasons Season 2 send the group from the Catskills and Hudson Valley to the Jersey Shore, Putnam County and the Italian Alps after the show’s return to Netflix.
Sharon Lomofsky and Jennifer Greenberg said many key interiors were recreated rather than filmed as seen onscreen, including motel rooms on a soundstage, Ocean Grove house interiors in Newburgh, and an Italian stay staged in a Fishkill Airbnb.
New York locations doubled for multiple settings: the Blue Fox Motel in Narrowsburg became the Midnight Ramble’s main building, while Jenkinson’s Boardwalk and Ocean Pathway supplied the Jersey Shore exteriors.
The design team leaned on thrift stores, prop houses and NBCUniversal assets to build each stop’s look, from midcentury motel pieces to oversized Victorian decor and a reused 30 Rock chair.
Italy’s winter arc used Trento’s real Christmas market and a custom La Befana head about 5 to 6 feet tall, underscoring how the season mixes location shooting with heavily stylized set work.
