June 1 prosecutors released Jabari Brown after finding insufficient evidence that the contracted co-pilot knew 261.6 kilograms of marijuana were in passengers’ luggage.
SENAD seized the 577-pound shipment from a Bombardier Challenger 604 that landed near Asunción on May 30, valuing the high-THC cargo at about $3.6 million wholesale in Brazil.
Three U.S. passengers — Marisol Rivas, Troy Anthony Vásquez and David Thomas Wise — remain in pretrial detention on international drug trafficking and unauthorized possession charges.
Investigators are reviewing the jet’s chain of custody, rental agreement and links to a wider trafficking network; the aircraft was reportedly operated by Estonian entrepreneur Keith Siilats, who left Paraguay before the seizure.
Brown, known online as “Captain Treezy,” drew attention because he won a $2.4 million private jet in a 2025 MrBeast challenge, though that aircraft was not involved.
