Unseen Reveals 2027 PS5 Game Kemuri, a 3-Player Yokai Action Adventure

Kemuri debuted with first gameplay at Sony’s State of Play, giving Unseen’s 2027 PS5 project its fullest look yet.
Kemuri casts players as yokai hunters in Kemuri City, a vertical supernatural metropolis where life and death overlap and hidden realms emerge through the hand-gesture “Foxwindow” mechanic.
Combat centers on contracting yokai and turning their powers into “Possession Apparel,” which alters both appearance and fighting style across melee, ranged and talisman-based builds.
Up to 3 players can explore online co-op, while solo play still pairs hunters with allied characters and yokai as they move across rooftops, alleys and underground ruins.
Unseen, the Tokyo studio led by Ikumi Nakamura, first announced Kemuri in 2023 and now says it will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2027.
