Two celebrity courtside seats for Knicks-Spurs NBA Finals Game 3 at Madison Square Garden will go up for auction Thursday at 12 p.m. ET, with all proceeds earmarked for the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
MSG CEO James Dolan said the fundraiser is meant to support the foundation’s work with youth across the tri-state area, calling it the company’s most important work.
The auction adds to the Knicks’ recent outreach after the team said it would donate hundreds of free home-game tickets in the series to underprivileged New York City youth.
Game 3 comes with extra weight for New York: it is the Knicks’ first NBA Finals appearance since 1999, when they lost to San Antonio in five games.
