James Carville and Al Hunt said the Democratic National Committee's 192-page review of the 2024 loss missed the central failures, calling it a "total dud" on their podcast.
Hunt said the report omitted Joe Biden's age, Gaza and Kamala Harris' campaign problems, arguing Biden stayed in the race too long and Harris was a weak nominee.
Carville focused on Harris' roughly $2 billion from Labor Day to Election Day, saying the campaign failed to win persuadable voters and calling it the most ineffective $2 billion ever spent.
Their criticism adds to long-running pressure from veteran Democrats for a broader course correction away from what they describe as "woke" politics after the party lost the presidency and races nationwide.
