Britney Spears, 44, posted a rare Instagram photo on June 1 showing a sleek, straight hairstyle created by celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, replacing the wavy platinum look she has worn in recent years.
Chris Appleton—best known for styling Kim Kardashian—called the collaboration a full-circle moment, saying Spears had been the soundtrack to his childhood in England.
The makeover comes seven months after Spears was seen with Kim and Khloé Kardashian, linking her latest styling choice to Appleton's longtime Kardashian ties.
The post also marks a public update nearly two months after Spears entered rehab following a March 4 DUI arrest; she later pleaded guilty, received 12 months of summary probation and enrolled in a three-month first-offender program.
