Gameplay screenshots for Rayman Legends: Retold surfaced online after an outlet accidentally published its preview before Tuesday’s embargo, with the deleted article still accessible via the Wayback Machine.
The leaked images suggest Ubisoft has dropped the original’s watercolor look for a more modern visual style, alongside a broader remake that reportedly adds new features and levels.
Rayman Legends first launched in September 2013, and the remake had already drawn criticism from fans who questioned revisiting a game many felt still held up.
Other leaks say Retold will bundle the original Rayman Origins for free and include couch co-op ahead of its expected reveal at PlayStation’s State of Play.
The remake is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2026 for Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
