St-Pierre Says UFC Dropped Silva Fight After 3 Conditions for 180-Pound Catchweight

Georges St-Pierre said the UFC raised an Anderson Silva superfight only once, then never followed up after he set three conditions for taking it.
Those terms were higher pay, a 180-pound catchweight so he could return to welterweight, and formal drug testing, which St-Pierre said were reasonable rather than an attempt to price himself out.
St-Pierre said Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta made the approach while both champions were in their primes, but he does not know whether Silva was ever asked or what Silva's side wanted.
The bout was one of MMA's most sought-after champion-versus-champion matchups, pitting the dominant welterweight and middleweight titleholders in a fight that never moved beyond preliminary talks.
