Florida, Florida State and Miami all failed to reach the super regionals, leaving the state's traditional baseball powers out before the College World Series field narrows.
Two national seeds drove the shock: Florida was eliminated at home by Troy despite two chances to advance, while Florida State fell on its home field to St. John's.
Miami at least did not host a regional, but the Hurricanes still exited after losses to Troy and rival Florida, extending a miserable weekend across the state's top programs.
UCF also went out in regionals, meaning no Florida team remains in NCAA baseball postseason play and raising offseason pressure on coaches, especially Florida's Kevin O'Sullivan.
