Helena Square Assisted Living said Rosalyn Holt is no longer employed after a review of social media posts that mocked former Attorney General Pam Bondi's thyroid cancer diagnosis.
A TikTok reposted Saturday showed Holt, then a business office manager in Port Royal, South Carolina, apparently filming at work and pairing Bondi's image with text ridiculing her illness.
Navion Senior Solutions, Helena Square's parent, said the video's views were Holt's alone and called the conduct inconsistent with its standards, values and duty to residents and families.
Bondi left the Justice Department in early April and has been undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer, making the post a flashpoint that drew broad online criticism.
