Matt Brown said Ronda Rousey is "insufferable" and "her own worst enemy" after she claimed she would "clean [Holly Holm's] clock" in a rematch that will never happen because she is retired.
The criticism followed Rousey's 17-second win over Gina Carano and Holm's recent comments that she had long been open to giving Rousey a chance at revenge for the 2015 head-kick knockout.
Brown argued Rousey still has the same attitude that alienated fans after back-to-back knockout losses to Holm and Amanda Nunes, saying she never fully gave those opponents credit.
He said fighters can believe they would win a rematch, but publicly revisiting old losses without taking responsibility only revives the backlash that has followed Rousey since leaving the UFC in 2016.
