OpenAI rolled out six role-specific Codex plugins, in-place annotations for documents and slides, and a preview feature that lets business and enterprise users build shareable interactive websites and apps.
More than 5 million people now use Codex weekly, and OpenAI said non-developers account for about 20% of users while growing more than 3x faster than developers.
The new plugins package 62 apps and 110 skills for analysts, creatives, sales teams, product designers, public-equity investors and bankers, with custom plugins and more categories planned.
Sites can turn briefs, financial models and account reviews into hosted dashboards, planners and project hubs shared by URL inside a workspace, while annotations let users target specific charts, claims or design elements for revision.
OpenAI said the update pushes Codex beyond software development toward a broader workplace tool, with partner ecosystems forming around plugins and sites through companies including Wix, Replit, Figma and Webflow.
