Uber’s 2026 Lost & Found Index spotlighted unusually forgotten items including dentures, breast milk, an ankle monitor, a live fish and a 75-gallon fish tank.
The company said phones, wallets, luggage and keys were still the most commonly left-behind items, with New York, Miami, Chicago and San Francisco ranking as the most forgetful cities.
Sundays were the peak day for lost items, and Uber said it has added an in-app return process that lets riders request a driver trip to bring belongings back.
That feature is already live in 8 U.S. jurisdictions — including California, Texas and Washington, DC — with a nationwide rollout planned by year-end.
