A Russian overnight drone barrage killed three people and injured 61 across Ukraine, with one Shahed-type drone hitting a high-rise in Odesa and destroying apartments on the first through fourth floors.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched 265 Shahed-type drones; air defenses downed 228, but 27 still hit targets at 18 locations and debris fell at 12 more sites.
Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kherson accounted for the fatalities, while strikes also wounded residents in Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia; power outages were reported in eight regions.
Separately, monitoring group DeepState said Russia's net territorial gains turned negative in May for the first time since 2023, even as Russian assault activity rose 37.5%.
