British Land said Joanne McNamara will become chief executive by the end of November after completing a six-month notice period at Oxford Properties.
McNamara is Oxford's executive vice president for Europe, making the appointment a senior hire from one of the sector's major property investors.

Her appointment comes as listed property groups seek experienced executives to navigate investment, leasing and portfolio decisions in a still-challenging market.
